The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has rolled out a simplified application to promote Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in India. Simplified Proforma for Incorporating Company Electronically Plus (SPICe+) is an integrated web form and is offering 10 services by 3 Central Government Ministries and Departments. The Ministry of Labour and the Department of Revenue of the Finance Ministry, as well as the Maharashtra government have collaborated in this new offering.
Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) registration are among many services which are being offered by the simplified application. The new form has been split into two sections; one of the forms is for reserving names for the new companies, and the second form is for other services such as incorporation, Director Identification Number (DIN) allotment, mandatory issue of Permanent Account Number (PAN), allotment of Goods and Service Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) and many more.
The SPICe+ web form is expected to ease out many procedures and help in saving time and cost for starting a business, this is applicable for all new company incorporations. This is an effort by the government to take India from the 63rd spot on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business (EODB) to 50th rank.
