The Ministry for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying had launched the ‘Animal Husbandry Startup Grand Challenge’ to crowdsource solutions to the problems being faced by the sector. Recently, the Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying announced the winners and there were 12 startups awarded for animal husbandry and dairy solutions.

In the category of value-added products, the winner was Krushak Mitra Agro Services Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, while Studio Carbon, Ahmedabad, was announced the runner-up. In the category of eliminating milk adulteration, White Gold Technologies LLP, Mumbai, and Micro Life Innovations, Chennai were selected as awardees.

The winners will be given incubation offers. The incubator’s responsibilities towards these startups would include physical incubation of these startups for up to 3 months, mentor matchmaking, lab facility, and testing facilities. The activities of the startups will be monitored for another nine months once the program is complete.
