Funding of Indian Startups (August 03-08)

Here is the list of funding of Indian Startups within the first week of August (Aug 03 -08):

Bolo Indya

Bolo Indya is a Gurgaon-based, vernacular, short recordings creation, disclosure and conversation stage. The stage is determined to engage Indians from different regions, express their perspectives and knowledge, and communicate it to the people in local language through short recordings. The app allows users to create short videos of 70 seconds.

It was established in May 2019 by Varun Saxena. It has raised $300,000 funding from the Eagle Venture Group. This takes the total funding of the company to $500,000 since its launch from Eagle Ventures Group and Indian Accelerator Group. Bolo Indya is on a mission to empower video-makers to upgrade the range of their video content and simultaneously permit them to earn money from their video content.

Data Sutram

A Kolkata-based tech startup by Rajit Bhattacharya, Ankit Das, and Aisik Paul, Data Sutram assists organizations with expanding conveyance proficiency and reduce marketing burn. It was founded in 2018. Data Sutram utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) philosophies, for example, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to reveal crude information sources and register financial parameters like demography, ethnicity, luxuriousness, and spending ability to comprehend an area and help a business.

Data Sutram has managed to raise a funding of Rs. 2 crores from Indian Angel Networks (IAN) Angels, Uday Sodhi, Nitin Jain, and  Mitesh Shah. Drink Prime

Bangalore based startup, Drink Prime was started by Manas Ranjan Hota, Vijender Reddy Muthyala, Ankababu Pedisetty, and Somesh Reddy Palyam in 2016. Drink Prime is a mobile app that can be used to renew the subscription of a water filter. Their purifiers give quality drinking water addressing issues like unclean and overpriced water at a substantially less cost than marked water jars or the best water purifiers in the market.

Drink Prime purifiers consists of a triple layer separation – RO, UV, and UF. An intriguing element is that their purifiers have in-manufactured sensors that distantly remove the amount of unhygienic water, in this way ensuring that the customers get purified water. Drink Prime has managed to raise $2.9 million led by Sequoia Surge. The latest funding was raised from a seed round on August  4, 2020.

Infeedo

Infeedo, a people analytics software company incorporated in 2013 by Tanmay Jain, has managed to raise $700,000 from a clutch of investors including global startup accelerator Y Combinator.

With the acknowledgment that people spend a decent measure of their time in work and associations, the company chose to offer a solution that addresses upgrading the experience of a representative at work. Infeedo’s main agenda is to make the voice of each worker heard and respected. The AI-empowered commitment bot – Amber, converses with representatives in an association one-on-one, to recognize and investigate employee job satisfaction.

Wobot

Delhi-based, AI-powered, video analytics platform, Wobot has raised $2.5 million in pre-series A round led by Sequoia India. The company gives artificial intelligence-based solutions for video examination. The arrangement offered by the organization distinguishes the change and deviation in SOP utilizing vision computing and AI calculation. It was established on December 2017

These Deep Machine Learning calculations can distinguish any deviations in standard working procedures (SOPs) and naturally show them and make them available for every pertinent partner in the association. The company focuses on reducing the need of manual monitoring with the help of its video and image recognition models. The AI models can be used in different industries like Food Retail, Hospitality, Facility Management and many more.
