Anushika Jain – Founder and CEO of Globalshala aims to provide 10,000 paid Internships

Anushika, Founder and CEO of GlobalShala is seeking after her masters in Economics at Northeastern University and now has enlisted workplaces in Delhi and Saint Louis in the US. She started by examining different internship opportunities, student’s responses, and a suitable plan of action. The objective, she says, is to give worldwide experiential opportunities. Through this endeavor, she plans to contribute to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding education, and gender equality.

As a resource center for scholarships, internships, and online courses, the stage has collaborated with different universities, including Northeastern University, DePaul University, and Saint Louis University in the US. At present, these collaborations are the main wellspring of income for the startup, which professes to be gainful since commencement. Along with giving practical information, apparatuses, and assets, the startup as of late declared the announcement of the Superhero U contest, which is available to students over the world. Participants must present solutions for the different global challenges featured in United Nation’s SDGs and seven winners will be awarded a prize worth $90,000 and an opportunity to visit the UN central command in New York.

The contest has received several entries from more than 50 nations up until now and stays open till October 9, 2020. Anushika says such projects are additionally focused on imparting and urging entrepreneurial spirit to creatively address pressing issues. GlobalShala professes to be a novel platform confronting little rivalry. She says, “We are at the forefront of identifying and nurturing talent. We don’t see any counterparts in the edtech space that match or mirror our experiential learning and service approach. At best, they offer fragmented and light footprint activities.” 

The startup is harnessing its existing networks while keeping students’ Awareness, Interest, Desire, and Action (AIDA) as a primary concern. The greatest achievement for the startup has been seeing individuals from more than 108 nations and five continents visit Globalshala’s site in the last couple of weeks. Anushika additionally shares that numerous institutions and associations have shown enthusiasm for partnering with the platform. Having effectively generated more than 100 paid internships so far. The platform hopes to offer 10,000 global internships in the next one year.

A Woman-Led Team of Gloabalshala

Anushika says her energy lies at the intersection of education, gender equality, and women empowerment, and she is pleased that women include 90% of the workforce at Globalshala. At first, Globalshala’s enrollment was exclusively based on merit and that resulted in a team that includes majorly women. As a leader, she searches for strong leadership qualities and urges her colleagues to ask questions and search for creative answers for different issues.

I judged and second-guessed myself due to my age and qualifications. It took a lot of time to convince myself that I could do anything I set my mind and time to and that made all the difference,” she adds.  She also says that overcoming self-doubt was the biggest challenge. Towards the end of the day, Anushika believes in keeping alive the soul of learning in her as much as she wants to instill it in others.
